About the Event
Join us for a panel discussion commemorating the 60th anniversary of the passing of the Civil Rights Act. In the spirit of reflection and progress, local community leaders will convene to delve into the journey of civil rights. The panel will touch on the strides we've made since 1964 and the enduring hurdles we still confront. Don't miss this opportunity to honor our shared history and chart a course toward a more just and equitable future.
This event is organized in partnership with the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center’s Youth Exchange Program. The Mansfield Center is committed to a more equitable nation and recognizes those who have carried the torch before us, including Senator Mike Mansfield, who was instrumental in guiding the strategy that broke a filibuster and allowed for the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
