About the Event
June 21 · 2–4 PM · Cooper Room B, Missoula Public Library
Not all celebrations of Pride need to be loud. The Way of the Dandelion is a soft, restorative gathering space for queer folks and allies seeking reflection, slowness, and connection.
Guided by herbalist Bonita (she/they), this rolling workshop invites you to explore dandelions at every stage of life—from root to bloom to seed—through sensory connection, poetic reflection, and journal prompts.
Together, we’ll reflect on the resilience of dandelions—plants that bloom boldly despite being poisoned and pulled—and how their persistence mirrors our own paths of defiance and growth. The event culminates in a collaborative art piece, planting windswept seeds of hope and kinship.
Art from last year’s gathering has been compiled into a zine, which will be distributed at the event. If you contributed last year but can’t attend, email Bonita at hello@bonitasbotanicals.com for a digital copy.
